Instructions for Presenters

Poster presentations:

• Poster session will be 75 mins long – presenters are expected

to be present throughout the 75 mins.                              

• Poster design:                                                                                      

  • Dimensions: 36” x 48”                                                       

  • Landscape orientation                                                    

  • Font size: minimum 24 point font                                  

  • PDF format                                                                        

  • Suggested sections: Abstract, Background,                

Objectives/Hypotheses, Methods, Results,

Discussion, and Select References               

• Prepare a <5 min speech that describes your poster

for attendees.                                                       

• In order for us to upload your poster onto.                  

the virtual platform, we ask that you send us your

PDF to mcgillappliedpsychology@gmail.com by.  

April 25th, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.

Day of the conference:

• Arrive at the virtual poster session room 5

       minutes before the start of the session.​

• There will be a facilitator in the room in case

          you face any issues or have any questions.

Oral presentations:

• Oral presentations sessions will each be 75 minutes long.              

Presenters are expected to be present throughout the 75

                 minutes of their designated session.                                                       

• Oral presentations will each consist of 10 minutes of speaking  

time and 5 minutes to answer questions.                           

• Content should include the relevant sections when applicable:

Background, Research Questions, Methods, Results,      

Discussion, Implications for Applied Psychology              

• PowerPoint Presentation slides                                                         

  • We ask that you send us a PDF version of your presentation

by April 25th at 11:59 p.m. in case of technical     

issues on the day of the conference.                    ​

Day of the conference:

• Go to your designated Oral Presentation Room,

                                 5 mins before the start of your round of oral presentations.

• When it is your turn to present, use the               

“share screen” feature to share your slides

with the rest of the attendees in the roo 

• There will be a facilitator in the room in case you

face any issues or have any questions.     ​
